Commission Work
What I offer.
I am available for task-based commission work on game assets. All of my prices for your specific requests are based on an hourly rate of 50 EUR and will be calculated on each order depending on the individual work load.
As a generalist within 2d game art and also a professional holding extended knowledge within lowpoly 3d, I can provide help based on a strong variety of technique and style and am further able to work on game projects of any genre.
My specialization within the game art pipeline lies within asset art, so as an asset artist, I am only offering support directly on the creation of functional, finalized in-game art.
I can and will help with the refinement of a concept during the excecution of my work, but I am not a concept artist.
This means I am not offering conceptual consultation, rough sketches and idea generation in brainstorming sessions.
What I can do.
If you are interested in what kind of assets I can create, here are some examples. All of this is just a very rough overview for quick orientation and I am not restricted to these types of commissions exclusively.
The price and range of ordered commissions will be discussed in private. My general advice is to always go with small steps in order to keep an overview on your projects tasks and budget. If you have a lot of asset tasks in your pipeline there is no need to rush. I am glad to help out repeatedly although I am not a contracted worker in these settings.
Regularly returning clients or those I can support over a longer time period with multiple commissions are what I am mostly interested in. I am committed to all clients with serious projects, who are willing to take the time to build a sincere creative business relation.

What I need to start.
You will need to provide a conceptual basis for anything you order. Depending on the clarity of your vision this can mean a few lines of text, some sketches or style references. This may sound pressuring, but do not worry about the depth or artistic quality.
Bringing the idea across is enough and in the end it is only about ensuring you are coming as close to getting what you want from your investment.
Should you find it hard to come up with a vision on your own please consider hiring a concept artist first.
There is some basic information to share on each commission which you can find below in a short overview. If you need these explained further or have additional questions, do not be afraid to ask.
- Type of Asset/Assets
- Visual or Written Concept
- Style Description and References
- Technical Aspects
- Additional Information on Project and Integration
What process I follow.
I only do commission work based on concrete tasks, which are communicated directly. This means telling me what your project is about, what assets you need, what style you are looking for and which formats you need those assets to be delivered in.
After this I can discuss limits/milestones with you and come up with an offer which you can decline or accept. All relevant information like range and deadlines will be listed within.
Communication on commission work is fast, transparent and reliable, however it is restricted to email. I am not available for real-time communication, nor will I share sensitive information on third party platforms, like chat tools.
The steps are described below.
- sharing information on the project (roughly 1-3 emails)
- agreeing on an initial task
- creating an offer with a fixed price attached
- accepting the offer (or decline)
- starting work
- delivering preview of the work
- feedback round (not to be confused as an invitation to demand extra work)
- delivery/payment
What if you got specific needs.
People, projects, time investment and ways of communication differ, so I will not be able to offer a perfect fit for all, however if you are looking for help on your project take the time to reflect on what you need.
If you need a lot of back and forth discussions and also a partner in brainstorming the structure of your taks, commission work is not the right choice. Instead temporarily hiring someone on contract based full or part-time positions might be a better fit.
Commission work is a great solution for independent project leads working without a concrete company structure and uncertain or irregular budget availability.
Contract and Project Work
If you are looking to fill a temporary full-time or part-time position in your team, feel free to contact me.
In general I am interested to network with all creatives on exciting game projects, however availability can be an issue, especially if you are looking to fill your positions quickly.
Only clients located in Germany or with whom I already had the ability to build trust on short-term commission work will be considered.
Permanent Employment
I am very happy as a freelancing game artist and enjoy my free work environment, however this does not mean I am not open minded when it comes to other potential opportunities to share creativity with interesting and passionate people within various settings.
If you feel like I might be a fit for your team, I thank you for the consideration and invite you to reach out to me.
Depending on the time, circumstances and conditions there might be a possibility for us to join forces or at least have a nice chat and form a connection.
Passion Projects and Free Work
I am a project manager, game designer and artist on passion projects myself and in these sensitive settings I only work together with people I trust completely.
I might on occasion be available for a fun contest or jam entry when the work is mostly about networking and learning, but I can not offer free work on non-commercial projects that have ambitions too high for their non-existing budget.
The creation of free and open game assets - for platforms like Open Game Art - is something I also only do as a freetime, networking and learning experience.
